How do you plan on keeping promotions FREE on Indie Ink Collective?
Like you, I am an indie author. And I, too, am trying to get my own books out there in front of readers. I do offer my recent book, The Queendom of Shadows and Steel, for free on Kindle Unlimited. Supporting me through my books are the number one way to go whether you purchase a physical copy or read through Kindle Unlimited.
I will also be offering fun merch for authors, readers, and artists very soon as well as author resources like premade book covers (without the use of AI).
I have considered other things as well as the blog grows (like paid podcast/youtube video features, etc.). But I always plan on the blog posts and Instagram posts to be free.
What made you think of doing something like this?
I was on Threads one day and realized HOW MANY indie authors are out there!! I sat back and thought to myself how cool it would be to figure out a way to promote and share them all!
What is your long term goal?
GROW! I want to create a space where readers can comfortably come to and navigate to find some fresh voices in various genres.
AND with the recent war against AI, I also wanted to share some up and coming artists who offer their services at a good price. The goal is to connect these authors with artists and other book blogs so we can further expand the indie community.
I want to keep up with authors that I promote (announcing that they finally scored a book deal, sold their first 100 copies, etc.). Being excited for them and cheering them on is what I hope to accomplish! We’re all in this together, whether we are readers, writers, artists. We are hoping to make each other feel loved, supported and successful!
Eventually, I would LOVE to expand to podcasts and YouTube. However, I am doing all of this part time at the moment, so it could be a little while.
